The AI Sea ("we", "us", "our") respects the privacy of everyone who visits this website, contacts us, or interacts with our automation channels (including the AI assistant available through our website and, where applicable, Messenger). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, who we share it with, and what your rights are, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
By using this website or starting a conversation with our AI assistant, you agree to the terms of this policy.

2. What personal information we collect
2.1 Information you provide directly

We do not ask for sensitive personal information (health data, government identification numbers, etc.) through this website or the AI assistant. If you voluntarily share this type of information in a conversation, it is handled with the same level of confidentiality and deleted once it's no longer needed for the purpose of the interaction.
3. Why we process your information (purpose)
Under PIPEDA, we are required to identify the purpose for collecting personal information before or at the time of collection. We collect and use your information for:
| Purpose | Note |
|---|---|
| Responding to inquiries and proposals | Necessary to provide the service you requested |
| Operating the AI assistant and keeping conversation context | Based on your decision to start the conversation (implied consent) |
| Scheduling meetings via Google Calendar | Necessary to fulfill your booking request |
| Improving the website and measuring campaign performance | Legitimate business interest, balanced against your privacy expectations |
| Complying with legal and regulatory obligations | Required by law |
We do not use your information for a purpose other than the one identified without first obtaining your consent, unless permitted or required by law.
4. Consent, and how it applies to our AI assistant and any follow-up messages
Under PIPEDA, consent can be express or implied depending on the sensitivity of the information and the context. When you initiate a conversation with our AI assistant, we treat that as implied consent to process the content of that conversation for the purpose of responding to you and, if relevant, directing you to book a call.
CASL note:we do not send unsolicited commercial electronic messages. Any follow-up marketing message (for example, a promotional email after your inquiry) will only be sent with your express consent, will clearly identify The AI Sea as the sender, and will include a working unsubscribe mechanism, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation.
5. Who we share your information with
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the business, limited to what's necessary for that purpose:
- Google (Calendar, Workspace, Ads, Analytics) — meeting scheduling and campaign measurement.
- Meta / Messenger, WhatsApp Business Platform (where used) — operating the AI assistant.
- Website hosting provider (Hetzner, via Cloudflare infrastructure) — hosting and delivering the website.
- Automation and CRM tools used internally (e.g., n8n, Supabase) — organizing leads and conversation records.
These providers are subject to contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
6. Cross-border data transfer
Some of the providers listed above may store or process information on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States or Brazil (for example, our database provider, Supabase, is hosted in the Canada Central region, though some auxiliary tools may process data elsewhere). When your information is processed outside Canada, it may be accessible to the government or courts of that jurisdiction under its laws. By using this website, you acknowledge this possibility.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies to: (i) keep the website functioning correctly, (ii) measure traffic and referral sources, and (iii) measure paid campaign performance. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may limit some website functionality.
8. How long we keep your information
We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose it was collected for, subject to applicable legal retention requirements. Chatbot conversations that don't result in a business inquiry are retained for up to 12 months and then anonymized or deleted.
9. How we protect your information
We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is completely free of risk. In the event of a security breach that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Know why your personal information is being collected, used, or disclosed;
